Nanoceramics (NCM)

Nanoceramics is a term used to refer to ceramic materials fabricated from ultrafine particles, i.e., less than 100 nm in diameter. Over the last 20 years, there has been a huge amount of study into nanoceramics, that has resulted in some positive outcomes not only for academia but industry too. As a result, these advanced materials have a wide range of uses in electronics, engineering ceramics and bio-ceramics for example. In this symposium, we believe that it will be a good opportunity to summarize nanoceramics in depth.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to)
  • Synthesis of nanoceramics
  • Sintering of nanoceramics
  • Processing of nanoceramics
  • Characterization of nanoceramics
  • Applications of nanoceramics
  • Related nanoceramic materials
Invited speakers (tentative) include
  • Jing Yang Wang (Institute of Metal Research, China)
  • J├╝rgen Eckert (University of Leoben, Austria)
  • Ryan Ott (Ames Laboratory, USA)
